We can only guarantee that venues will be able to scan tickets off of your phone if they are specifically designated as Mobile E-tickets. In fact, this type of ticket can only be scanned off of smartphones, as venues will not accept printed versions.

While some venues can scan regular Email Delivery tickets off of mobile devices, not all are equipped with that technology.  To ensure you don't run into any issues, we always suggest bringing printed out copies of your tickets.
